Eccomi, ho provveduto ad installare il modem speedtouch con successo...
Ora sorge un problemino... Vorrei installare la lingua italiana...
Ho provato ad andare in language support, ma risulta l'inglese come unica lingua...
Cosa devo fare?? (come gesetore di pacchetti ho Synaptic)

Chi la dura la vince  ..
per l'italiano installa questi pacchetti:
language-pack-gnome-it
language-pack-gnome-it-base
language-pack-it
language-pack-it-base
language-support-it
una volta installati vai in Sistema -> Amministrazione -> Supporto lingue (ho controllato sul mio desk..), a questo punto dovrebbe essere possibile selezionare quella italiana, quindi basta far ripartire i programmi e dovresti essere a posto..

Ora volevo chiedervi come cavolo faccio ad installare i programmi?
Ho appena provato con skype scaricando il pacchetto .deb...o eseguito e mi da un errore
Lo ho eseguito e mi ha datto un errore... Dependency is not satisfable:libasound2...

Ti sta dicendo che manca una dipendenza, ma andiamo per ordine e facciamo una cosa alla volta:
I programmi che vai via-via installando arrivano dalla rete, quindi bisogna abilitare i repository "extra" per avere a disposizione tutta la "masnada", che tu sia si Ubuntu o su Kubuntu è uguale, quindi ti passo il mio, visto che mi funziona.
backup sources-list:
sudo cp /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list-bak
modifichiamolo:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
si apre il file, seleziona tutto quello che c'è all'interno e cancellalo, quindi copiaci questo:

ora aggiorniamo il sistema:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
se ti scarica un nuovo kernel dovrai riavviare (ma Ubuntu ti avverte se necessario ), altrimenti è ok.
a questo punto hai tutti i repository necessari per le applicazioni ed il multimedia (ed anche i gadget..) più comuni, apri Synaptic, in alto il pulsante "cerca", scrivi all'interno il nome del programma che vuoi installare, skype ad esempio, quindi lo selezioni per l'installazione e dai "applica", in automatico si scaricherà il programma e le dipendenze che necessità.
Se ti "incarti" da qualche parte riposta.

Ero cosi contento, ma poi sono caduto...
Dopo tutto ciò, al riavvio del sistema non carica piu l'interfaccia grafica...
Ubuntu parte ma non l'interfaccia...
Ora posso solamente inserire comandi da terminale...
Ho provato a dare il comando:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
ma mi da errore...
CHe faccio?

Quel piantone del server X mi sa tanto di ATI, trascrivi l'errore come suggerito da Trunks, in seguito dai questo comando:
cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf (la X maiuscola..)
cerca nel file questa sezione:

dovresti trovarti una o due linee riguardanti la scheda video, sul mio sono queste:

Vietato formattare! è inutile perchè il sistema funziona, e se non capiamo che succede puoi reinstallare 30 volte e sarà sempre lo stesso..

Ho provveduto reinstallando ubuntu, stavolta con la nuova versione, la feisty fawn...
Dovevo fare in fretta perchè serviva windows a mio fratello...
P.S: cosa posso fare per prevenire di nuovo l'errore??
La mia scheda video è una intel integrata...mi sembra che abbia qualcosa a riguardo su quello che hai postato prima... |

bè, se non sappiamo da cosa è provocato sarà duretta, se è una intel integrata non dovrebbe essere molto diversa dalla mia (spero), quindi i settaggi di xorg dovrebbero essere simili, posta il risultato di questi tre comandi:

L'ultimo prendi solo le prime linee, tipo:

Tutto ok stai usando i driver intel e pure il rendering è attivo. Ora se vuoi puoi installarti aixgl e compiz :P

Se si verificasse di nuovo l'errore posso ripristinare il tutto vero? |
